❀
Education. Inspiration. Motivation.
Leading off with a short presentation on the core ethics and principals of permaculture, you will gain an instant understanding of our central values. We hope you will be inspired by our integration of permaculture and succession dynamics, which formed our name, passion and practice; PermaDynamics.
During your thorough tour of our diverse operation, you will gain some valuable tools on how we overcame very common, highly problematic challenges, to motivate your enthusiasm to apply these principals to your own land or inspire others to do so.
You will see a food forest through different stages of growth from a one year to an established twelve-year forest. We will point out the plant species we use, our terracing swale system, and the ways in which we integrate animals in a holistic way.
❀
We will go through to our market garden half of which is cultivated with no-till practices from which we sell at the Whangarei Local Farmers Market and continue on to our temperate food forest orchard. We will give you an inspiring explanation into the simplicity of producing our very own renewable gas via our biogas digester and how our compost operation functions. This tour will give you a deep educational insight into the multidimensional functioning of our farm. Aimed for anyone who is curious about what permaculture is and for those who want to be inspired further by how well a permaculture system can function when applied with passion, knowledge and diversity.
